Directing/Producing
Developing projects in a workshop environment with other artists is the best way to work (if one has the time and means).
There is a lot of messing around, dreaming, talking, workshopping, directing of staged readings, raising of money... in between staging a full production.
The experience of directing/producing triggers my appreciation, over and over, the the focus, freedom, and power of acting.
Acting refuels my directing stamina, confidence, and creativity. A forceful and delightful marriage.
Theatre is a present tense art form. What you have right here and now. That's the attraction, difficulty and danger.
Theatre unites resources, ignites imagination, and transforms space and time. We must do all this... together.
